Hear / Act by Right

Two things that are helping Connexions and young people work well together are Hear By Right and Act By Right. The IYP (Involving Young People) Team and the Youth Forum are working on both of these programmes.

Hear By Right

• Hear By Right is a set of standards. It helps an organisation to involve young people in its work
• Connexions Black Country is working towards all levels of the standards
• The IYP team gives Hear By Right training to Connexions staff
• More information on the Hear By Right standards

Act by Right

• Act By Right is a course to give young people the skills to work with their local community and organisations
• Members of the Youth Forum are working towards the Act by Right certificate and award
• The Youth Forum will then train other local young people in Act by Right.
