Young people at Connexions Black Country

Emma Everitt - Youth involvement Support Worker

I've been working as a Youth involvement Support Worker at Black Country Connexions. Before this I used to be a volunteer within the youth forum and completed an NVQ 2 qualification in Youth and Community Work, with Young Leaders in the Community.

When I first came into the post I felt that the work could be quite challenging and very different from my other work but I now feel that it is all going well as I am able to continue my work with young people. Also, my confidence has increased. So far, I have been involved with the youth forum, going away on a residential and act by right work. I am currently waiting to start my NVQ 3.

We also have lots of fun and we get a chance to meet new people and make new friends!
