Connexions BusIf you'd like to find out more about the Connexions' Bus, follow these links... Connexions Bus - Conditions of UseThe Connexions bus should be connected to a planned programme of intervention or outreach work. It should not be used as a drop-in resource - "a park up and see situation." BCCx aims to target vulnerable young people including the following groups: teen parents, drug users, homeless, young offenders, young people with mental health issues, lesbian/gay/bisexual, and those within the NEET cohort (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Priority will be given to projects targeting these groups. Connexions driver/supervisor will always be present to set up equipment and establish internet connection. He/she will offer support and advice when required, and take ultimate responsibility for the vehicle and equipment. It is up to the project organisers to staff the Connexions Bus and to make sure that staff have appropriate Criminal Record Bureau clearance If both decks are in use, there must always be three members of staff (one member of staff to move between decks as needed) The Connexions driver/supervisor can alter numbers and ratios at their discretion to reasonably accommodate variations NO ALCOHOL and NO SMOKING signs must be strictly observed You are responsible for acquiring parking permission if it is needed. A member of Connexions' staff will undertake a site visit if necessary No photographs can be taken of young people without proper permission Monitoring of Internet use will be required Damage or abuse of the vehicle and facilities will not be tolerated as the Connexions Bus must be kept operational for use by voluntary and community organisations throughout the Black Country The Connexions driver/supervisor will make all users aware of the evacuation procedures in the event of fire or other emergencies It is expected that a data sharing protocol is agreed between Black Country Connexions and those booking the Connexions Bus Please take the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the user manual |
