Connexions is a Government funded service that provides information, advice and guidance to 13-19 year olds.

Local employers are offered a free vacancy service through Connexions.

This includes:

a direct employer phone line and
a specialist team to manage your vacancy

We Will

  • Aim to visit your premises to discuss your requirements within 24 hours
  • Offer information on the latest government initiatives/legislation, developments in education and training opportunities.
  • Advertise your vacancy in 7 local centres across the Black Country and on our web page.
  • Contact suitable job seekers who meet your requirements
  • Monitor and support throughout the process.

Would your company benefit from improving the work skills of any current or future employees?

You may wish to take advantage of one of the government supported work based learning programmes. There are several options available including:

  • Apprenticeships
  • Advanced Apprenticeships
  • National Vocational Qualifications

Training is available in over 150 work areas (e.g. administration, retailing, warehousing, childcare).

These qualifications measure a person's competence to perform a wide range of work-related tasks. Depending on the level, these tasks could range from the routine to the more complex. By offering clear, structured training and nationally recognised qualifications they benefit employers and employees alike.

Training and assessment of current skills may take place at work and/or via day release or in blocks of time.
