Are your Parents Divorcing?
There are lots of reasons why people separate or divorce. Often there are lots of little reasons, which means that overall people decide that they just can’t live with each other anymore.
However old you are, you may find it very upsetting. It is very important to remember that if your parents are separating, it is not your fault.
Your parents should do everything they can to make you know that they both love you and its not your fault. However, you might feel that one or both of your parents are using you to ‘score points’ against each other - whether or not they mean to do this, it is not right or fair on you. You could ask them not to do this.
